School Manager's Update

Hello everyone, this will be my first Lunations entry!

Thank you to everyone who has welcomed me so warmly here at MSO. It has been a fast paced few days of getting to know people, learning about your roles and having some primary business discussions.

Ever since starting at ANU over 10 years ago, I have always been inspired by the 15+ School Managers that I have worked with. Each of them has their own style, but all have an immense knowledge of their School and the ability to handle the vast amount of different challenges thrown at them. I feel very privileged and honoured (also a little daunted) to take on this role, filling the big shoes left by Rafat Alam. I’m keen to hear all your stories and see where I can help, so please drop by and say “hi”. My door is almost always open.

ARC Discovery Project Applications

Congratulations to everyone who has submitted an application. The CoS Admin team has informed me that large numbers have been submitted this year - I cannot even imagine how much work goes into this. Please remember that the CoS hard submission deadline is 10 May (a week before the ARC deadline of 17 May). Applications after this date will not be submitted to the ARC! Wishing everyone the best of luck, and hoping we have many successful outcomes.

Please remember to stay Covid safe and look after one another. We are required to keep wearing our masks unless at our personal workstation.
