Outreach Update

In February, we had a special public night for viewing of the comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF). While the comet had faded, the weather was perfect and everyone got a nice look at it through the outreach telescopes. It was a great crowd, with around 800 people joining. Before the comet viewing, 120 people came up for a special showing of the movie Apollo 11 with producer Stephen Slater.
Despite the school year having just started, we've already had 270 students from year 3 to 9, here for school visits. It is shaping up to be our busiest year ever!
The weather has been cooperating for our private nights as well!
During March, we will be joining the Enlighten Festival for stargazing in the Parliamentary Triangle. For once, they will make sure the lights are off for us!
