Outreach Update

During April, despite school holidays, the flow of students up to the mountain continued! We hosted about 380 students, ranging from years 6 - 10. The majority of students came from around Queensland. With nearly 2 dozen schools booked in for in May, it is going to be busy!
We are also going to be hosting two public nights in May - one on Friday the 26th at Mt Stromlo and one on the 30th outside Parliament House.
Every month we also see more and more requests for private nights with around 50 in April!
There has also been a lot of movement on re-opening the Cafe and Visitor Centre. Back in February 2020, we started engaging with Mulligans Flat and the group who manages it. Now after, a number of delays for obvious reasons, movement is happening! While full-scale operations are not there yet, we are working on a staged approach, working together across multiple areas - from events, to outreach administration, catering, and more. Work is already underway on moving forward, including upgrading the Visitor Centre!
