Sustainability Update

Going to get groceries has become a general dread since inflation has hit the country. Every time I drive to Cooleman court, I wonder which item will give me sticker shock: $6 for potatoes?!

But fear not, for I have a solution for you. If you have a garden and access to youtube, you can learn how to grow just about anything. If you don’t, the sustainability committee has your back…

For over a year now,  the Mount Stromlo community garden has been used by a few of you to grow herbs and vegetables. Thanks to the recycling done on the mountain, we have turned your scraps into compost and kept a fresh supply of quality feed for the garden. Henry has maintained the garden in great condition, and we welcome more of you to use it. As you can see in the photo, there is still some available space, so go on and show us your gardening skills.  Where is the garden located you ask? Just between the ATIC and the Faulkner Court.

Since the composting effort has been such a success, we will soon upgrade the compost bins to increase their capacity. So as Robocop used to say: thank you for your cooperation.
