Outreach Update

We’ve continued our tradition of having heaps of private night requests in January.  Unfortunately, as most experienced, it has been exceptionally wet and cloudy so a bit difficult to get them all in. However, we had our first school holiday programs with Mulligans Flat!  Thanks to Kez for running these :)
 
We have lots of special event planned in 2024. To start the year, Stephen Slater is visiting us (the producer of such movies as Apollo 11).  We will be doing a special premier of a short movie based around Apollo 8 at the Visitor Centre on the 16th of February, plus special screenings of Apollo 11 and Quarantine on 23 February. 
 
We will also be at the Canberra Show doing activities and Solar Observing and for the first time, we are a location for Enlighten!  On the 9th of March, Enlighten will come up to Mt Stromlo which will including projecting on some of the domes up here!
 
And definitely mark your calendar for our Open Day on 7 September. Details will come in the following months (and thanks to those who have already offered to help and ideas!)

We will be running public stargazing nights with dinner at Lanyon Homestead -Dinner with the stars.
