Our business operation is governed by seemingly arbitrary blocks of time, known to us as calendar and financial years. As we near the end of the 2024 calendar year, we need to consider wrapping up 2024 business before the end-of-year shutdown.

Below is a list of cutoff dates for straightforward cases. Complicated matters may require an earlier submission. If you are anticipating any notable financial or HR transactions this year, please commence this process now, or come see either myself or the Admin Team.

Please also remember to complete your purchase card acquittal well before the end of the year. This is especially important for grants that might be ending like ASTRO 3D or for R-budget funded items. Transactions not acquitted in time, may become the responsibility of the card holder.

Submission cutoff dates:

Finance

• Self-Service Reimbursement requests Wednesday 11 December
• Invoices for payment Wednesday 11 December
• Last bank payment run Friday 20 December (9am)
• Accounts receivable invoices Wednesday 11 December
• Concur (purchase card) acquittals Monday 30 December

HR

• Dec/Jan extensions and terminations Wednesday 27 November
• Cut-off for advertising Wednesday 18 December (Job card must be submitted by 2nd December).
