Seems we have maybe proudly told too many people that paying to park at work is just something that happens to other people... I know I have. No longer will people stare at me with open-mouthed admiration, envy pinching the corners of their eyes, when I inform them that not only do I get to work at such a beautiful location, views, kangaroos, bush walks and such, (oh and thank you for mistaking me for an astrophysicist), parking costs a total of sweet nothing.
All good things come to an end and paid parking is now here and here to stay. From Monday 7th April 2025 you will need to have a permit or pay as you go.
MSO annual parking permit
A MSO permit for staff and students will set you back $87 annually. This will be charged on a pro-rata basis. To apply for a permit -follow the prompts. Please

Pay as you go parking
The rates for Mt. Stromlo PayStay parking are
Zero minutes-3 hours - $1.80
3 hours to 6 hours - $2.80
6 hours + $3.90
