RSAA Distinguished Visitor Program

RSAA has an extensive history of supporting Distinguished Visitors for medium to long term visits to work collaboratively with local faculty on activities associated with the School's astrophysics and technology programs.  After being in abeyance for calendar 2025, the Distinguished Visitor program is being relaunched.  Changes include a single annual call for applications with for visits at any time in the following calendar year, and a single selection committee to consider applications under both the astrophysics and technology streams.  Full details of the revamped program and of the application process are given here.

Now is the time to begin considering who you might wish to sponsor for a 2026 RSAA Distinguished Visitor application.

Applications must be received by 1 September 2025.  RSAA values diversity and inclusion and believes opportunities must not be limited by socio-economic background, race, religion or gender.  Women are particularly encouraged to apply for the program.
