We’re pleased to share that training is now complete for our six in-person Local Contacts: these volunteers are available for a safe, confidential conversation or to help navigate disclosure and reporting pathways at ANU. You can find their names on the RSAA IDEA page or on posters in each building (QR codes included!).
The University has commenced work on implementing the Nixon Review recommendations, and RSAA is contributing to this important process through representation on the working groups over the next 12 weeks. This is a real opportunity to improve the broader ANU culture by sharing what we have learned locally.
With the start of semester, both new and returning students are reminded that support contacts, resolution procedures, and other resources are available via the RSAA IDEA page. If you are a student looking to connect, or keen to help others settle in, you can also reach out to the PhD representatives to join the buddy system: it is open to Honours and Masters students too, not just PhDs.
