IDEA Update

A new Associate Dean (IDEA), A/Prof Anna Bruestle, has been appointed at the College level, following a period where the College did not have such a role. This provides a good opportunity to strengthen IDEA initiatives across the College and to consider how RSAA can contribute to, and benefit from, these efforts, with regular College-wide IDEA meetings resuming from this month.

As part of the new National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence, there are updates to how disclosures should be handled and how reporting pathways operate. To support us in navigating these changes, the ANU Inclusive and Respectful Communities team will visit RSAA on Friday 8 May (11–12noon, DLT). The session will provide an overview of the Code and what it means in practice for disclosure and reporting, followed by a short refresher on responding to disclosures of harmful behaviours. These updates will be relevant to all of us, and the session is a good opportunity to become familiar with the changes and ask questions.
