Hello everyone.
Visitors Centre Works Have Commenced
As you can see from the photo, capital works have commenced in the Visitors Centre.
In this image, the old damaged ceiling grid has been removed from the foyer, redundant electrical infrastructure is being removed, and preparations are underway for the installation of a new lighting system.
Once the ceiling, wall, electrical and lighting works are completed, the entire exhibition space will be repainted to align with the new exhibition design theme.
Content development is progressing well, and the design team has already drafted several preliminary content layouts. The concepts are looking very striking and professional.
We are also continuing to explore opportunities for interactive exhibits that will enhance the visitor experience.
Asset Stocktake
Shortly, we will commence the 2026 asset stocktake.
This process involves physically verifying items of value that have been classified as assets. We will require assistance from AITC and SSO staff in particular to help locate and verify some items.

Upcoming Changes to the RSAA School Bus Service
In March this year, we transitioned to Deane's Coaches and, to our knowledge, the service has been operating well, although some refinements have been identified.
From Monday, 20 July, a new service operated by CDC Canberra will commence.
The new 24-seat bus is better suited to our passenger numbers and the narrow road access to Stromlo. An additional benefit is that students will be able to be picked up and dropped off directly outside the Duffield Building.
The service will also commence and terminate at Platform 6 of the City Interchange, providing improved connections with the wider Canberra bus network.
The new timetable will see the bus arrive at Stromlo at 9:00 am and depart at 5:00 pm.
