Outreach Update

With June and the solstice, outreach means we can start very early and get in lots of groups on some clear, cold nights.

In June, we had 16 schools from every state/territory except Tasmania!  With visits to both Stromlo and to some local schools, we saw over 1000 students in June. Some nights were better than others, but even though the rain at times has been annoying, we've been enjoying it while it lasts.

The rain did mean our public night was washed out unfortunately.  However, in July hopefully we'll have some clear weather for the public night here on the 19th as well as at Lanyon Homestead 10 July.

With Reconciliation Week and school holidays, there are lots of upcoming events! We will be outside Parliament House on 7 July.  We will also be running sessions at the Hyatt Hotel on Saturday the 11th and 18th of July, as well as a visit to Thredbo on the 16th and 17th. 

We will also run our school holiday programs this year, over 3 days.  We are trialing short, focused sessions which allow kids to come to one or two, or multiple over the course of the week. 

July will also see the debut of Galaxy Safari - a new style of private nights but instead for one group, they are for multiple groups which allows a more economical option for families.

Also, don't forget about Francis Bennet's talk as the Harley Wood Lecturer on the 8th of July in Kambri!
