The loss of women scientists is a significant waste of expertise, talent and investment, and negatively impacts on our nation’s scientific productivity. Professor Jennifer Martin will discuss the issues and roadblocks women face, outline what universities and individuals can do to make change happen, and highlight the current Academy of Science ’Science in Australia Gender Equity’ (SAGE) pilot of the UK Athena SWAN gender equity accreditation system.
