IDEA Committee

The Director of RSAA recently circulated the ‘RSAA Culture Action Plan’ for consultation. There are 25 initiatives/actions mentioned in the document to enhance our culture, the IDEA committee will actively be working on 11 of these, as well as providing recommendations to the RSAA Executive Committee. Due to this being a critical piece of work, we have called for volunteers to join various working parties. We have already received 17 requests from staff and students to join the various working parties till date (student 35.3%; professional staff 29.4% and academic staff 35.3%). We still want/need more volunteers to join the working parties. If you would like to volunteer, please fill out the online form and we will get back to you ASAP.

We are planning a number of events in 2020. We have already organised ANU LGBTIQ+ Ally training and screened the movie 13th in the DLT . Please visit our website for all upcoming events.  We will continue to organise or sponsor events that will raise awareness of inclusion, diversity, equity and access issues.
