Things are finally moving forward with planning for the community garden, which will be located behind House 18. A group of interested people met up last week to discuss how we want to proceed - if you'd like to be involved but are not on the email list, please get in touch. Hopefully changes on the ground will start to take place in the coming weeks.
No changes in the food waste league table, with Duffield still out in front, followed by Possum Hall and CSO, and Woolley in the back. Remember that these bins aren't just for food waste - napkins, paper plates, and other biodegradable containers can go in too.
The CSO kitchen is the latest place to get an extra recycling box for hard-to-recycle items, such as coffee cups and pens. More compact and complete signage will accompany it soon, but you can start using it straight away!
Finally, thanks to everyone who has been sparing their used coffee cups from landfill - I now have a box full of them in my office (I guestimate 125 to 150 cups!), as well as lids and plastic straws, which I will take to 7-11 for recycling in the near future.
