3 Minute thesis competition
The 2016 3MT international research student competition will commence from next week at the Australian National University with the first heat at the College level followed by the ANU final.
We encourage supervisors and students to come and support your 3MT participants: Harry Kenchington-Goldsmith (LPC), Dipankar Chugh (EME) and Matt Thompson (PRL) at the ANU Science College heat on 26 July 2016 at 2pm in the Finkel Theatre, JCSMR Bldg 131.
Prizes on offer, for the ANU Science College 3MT, winners will receive $1,000 research support grant and up to $4,000 for ANU final 3MT winners.

Performance and Development Supervisor Modules

Electronic Materials Engineering (EME) Prof Hoe Tan will be away 1 July - 5 August 2016. A/Prof Patrick Kluth will be acting HOD 22 July - 5 August.
Nuclear Physics (NP) Prof Andrew Stuchbery will be away 21 July - 6 August 2016. Prof David Hinde will be acting HOD during this period. |

RSPE Changes to Petty Cash
As part of aligning RSPE’s processes with the ANU's, from 16 September the school will discontinue petty cash in favour of the reimbursement and purchase card processes.

Changes to the University's Mail and Courier functions through DHL
Based on the positive feedback and the savings that can be achieved, UPCO have sought and obtained approval to proceed with the proposed mailroom changes. It is anticipated that the changes will take effect from 1 August 2016. » read more

Canberra Careers Xpo
The CPMS/CMBE Science Marketing and Recruitment team will be present at the upcoming Canberra Careers Xpo 3-4 August 2016. This is a very important event in terms of engaging students from local and regional high schools and allows us to encourage students to come and see us at Open Day.
A number of science student ambassadors will provide support on the day. Academic involvement is also welcomed for the full day or for a specific amount of time.
