Call for nominations/applications: CMBE/CPMS Excellence in Education Awards
The ANU Colleges of Science offer annual awards, citations and special commendations for excellence in education. All CMBE/CPMS staff involved in teaching or supporting learning are encouraged to apply on the basis of:
- sustained teaching quality, including supervision or tutoring;
- successful innovation in any aspect of education; and/or
- other contributions to educational excellence in teaching or learning support, at the level of course, program, School or College.

The August RSPE Directors Colloquium on “Needle Probes: Bringing optics deep inside the body” was delivered by Prof Robert McLaughlin. He provided a fascinating background of optical imaging techniques and how they have the potential to acquire high-resolution images of tissue and provide a new generation of intra-operative guidance tools for surgeons. |
