Mr Kai Wang (NLPC) on winning the Best Talk Prize at the IONS KOALA conference on Optics, Atoms and Laser Applications, held in Melbourne, Australia. The conference brings together Honours, Masters and PhD students from Australia and New Zealand.

Nuclear Physics (NP)
Prof Andrew Stuchbery will be on leave 14 November - 12 December 2016. Dr Anton Wallner will be acting HOD during this period.

Plasma Research Laboratory (PRL)
A/Prof James Sullivan will be travelling 5-13 December 2016. Prof Hoe Tan, acting Director, will oversee PRL during this period.

School Services (SS)
Mr Graeme Cornish will be on leave 12 December 2016 - 13 January 2017. Acting F&SM 12 December - 2 January will be Mr Craig Young, and Mr Tim Sawkins 3-13 January 2017.

Theoretical Physics (TP)
Prof Mukunda Das will visit S N Bose Centre, Kolkata and Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar for collaborative research 26 November - 22 December 2016. He will give a plenary talk in an International Conference on Smart Materials in SOA University, Bhubaneswar, India.

 

Chennupati and Vidya Jagadish Scholarships

Are now available for student interns from any developing countries for up to 3 months to undertake research study in any department at RSPE.
