Director's Message

Dear Colleagues,

Please note that National Reconciliation Week kicks off today and I commend the public events held across campus to you. ANU is in an exciting position to lead on the reconciliation agenda.

This week I meet with many of the technical staff and HoDs to initiate a discussion around an upcoming review of campus technical workshops.  I feel this is a great opportunity to support our culture of technical excellence. If you’d like to know more about the presentation from the Service Improvement Group please see here.

This week’s image was provided by Professor David Hinde (DNP). Appropriately, it showcases the intersection of technical excellence and academic innovation. With the exception of the bolts in the CUBE nuclear reactions detector system every single part was designed and manufactured in the School.

Have a warm and wonderful weekend,

Tim
