Director's Message
Dear Colleagues,
It has been a fairly quiet week at RSES this week ….
In this version of the Newsletter we start including details of peer-reviewed papers that have been recently accepted or published. This will provide an easy way for members of RSES to remain abreast of recent research activity and advances made by colleagues. Contributing your research to the newsletter is voluntary but I encourage you all to do so.

Training:
Core Skills Course 2017
In association with Dale Sims Consulting and Evolution Mining we are currently developing a Core Skills course to take place at the Lake Cowal mine (30th September to 2nd October, see attached flier). The course isn't for credit, but aims to provide students with hands-on skills in geological core logging, analysis and interpretation in an industry setting. We're currently looking for volunteers to help with the course, which would involve traveling with the students and supervising them in their various activities in collaboration with Dale and the Evolution team.
