Director's Message
Dear Colleagues,
My thanks to James Irwin for compiling the advice to the School on revising our working behaviours here and at home. The advice is copied to the right with refreshed web-links to the various resources you may need. Please study this advice and most of all talk to your supervisor and come up with an agreeable plan.
Last Wednesday I sent a School-wide email which contained the draft Terms of Reference (ToR) for the Working Parties, notice about new mandatory requirements for academic PDRs and a call for Expressions of Interest (EoI) for the HDR Convenor role. The consultancy period for the ToR will remain open until 31st March. While I announced the EoI would close on the same day I will leave this open for an additional week, now closing 7th April. Finally, the PDR changes for academics should not be overly affected but our changing working habits. Please look at these mandatory minimum objectives as they will help your Head prepare for their 3-6-9.
This week’s pic was taken recently from the open terrace on level 4 of the new building. The terrace has a near 180 degree view of Lake Griffin, from Parliament House to the National Arboretum. The 60 seat seminar room and board room will share this elevation.
I hope the next week proves productive as you embrace new working habits. Please let me know if there is anything you can think of that might benefits others as they prepare for the next phase. And, talk to your supervisor.
Cheers,
Tim |
