Director RSPE Appointment
Prof Andrew Roberts, Dean CPMS, is delighted to announce that Professor Tim Senden has been appointed as the next Director of RSPE. Professor Stephen Buckman retires Friday 3 July, and Tim will start on Saturday, July 4, and will serve a 5-year term in the first instance. Tim is well known to you all and needs no further introduction.
Thank you for your patience as we worked through to this outcome. We had an outstanding field of candidates, the majority of whom were external to the School. Over the past several months, I have been involved in negotiations with 2 external candidates, but these proved unsuccessful due entirely to personal issues rather than professional circumstances or financial negotiations. Tim was among the outstanding candidates and we have full confidence that Tim is an excellent appointee.
Please join Prof Roberts in congratulating Tim and working with him to drive an excellent future for RSPE. |
Congratulations |
