EoI For HDR Convenors In Physics
We are seeking to add to our convenor team which looks after the Higher Degree Research students in physics.
Convenors play an important role in optimizing the HDR experience and enhancing student wellbeing as well as supervisor development. Additionally, they contribute to developing HDR university processes at the School and College level.

All HDR supervisors and panel members are invited to the HDR Roadshow with Prof Tony Travouillon, COS Associate Dean HDR on 10 May starting at 1.30pm in the Physics Auditorium, bldg. 160.
Attendance at this event can count as a renewal activity for HDR supervisor registration.

Australia–Germany Joint Research Co-operation Scheme - Now Open
The Australia – Germany Joint Research Co-operation Scheme for funding commencing in 2025, opened on Wednesday 3rd April 2024. This scheme is a joint initiative of Universities Australia (UA) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
The UA-DAAD scheme supports exchanges for Australian researchers from University Australia (UA) member universities and German researchers from German universities and research institutes. This scheme is open for the exchange of academics with a focus on early career researchers and junior scholars from both countries who are working on joint (new or already established) research projects.
If you intend to apply for UA DAAD please complete this short Notification of Intent (NOI), including your German partner university, so that we can provide you with up to date information about the scheme.

NHMRC Equipment Grant Scheme - Now Open
The NHMRC Equipment Grant scheme provides institutions receiving NHMRC Grants with funding to help grant recipients buy items of equipment to support on-going, competitively funded health and medical research.
ANU has received $115,290 to expend in 2024. To distribute the funding, ANU runs a competitive internal application process.
Applications are now open and must be submitted to rii@anu.edu.au by 10am Tuesday 11 June 2024.
