UNDERGRADUATE EXPERIMENTAL PROGRAM 2015
“His most revolutionary contribution to science was his demonstration that carefully run experiments can yield profound insights” From Science Matters by Hazen and Trefil on Galileo.  It’s worth reflecting on the value of the experimental program for students; and although the format has been established for many years it still ticks many of the “educational” boxes for best practice.  We have to thank the 80 demonstrators that looked after 500 plus experiments during the year and the 25 projects run in Life Science. In addition the PhB program continues to flourish and many students take on a project as part of their undergraduate course. Again thank you to those staff members that gave up their time. The choice of experiments in the program is greatly appreciated by students and a credit to the School as a whole.
